Hi, I’m Jon Sutton, welcome to my site…
On these pages you’ll find overviews of my acting, modelling & writing work… plus my weekly blog which focuses on changing careers, but also delves into food, fitness, film, fight-sports… and turning forty.
(Please direct all modelling requests through the link to my management, or contact me directly regarding acting/writing work.)
ABOUT ME …
A few years ago, approaching 40 and starting to panic, I decided to leave my job in finance with dreams of becoming a writer and actor.
Since then I have had two short films produced (in both of which I also took a role) and I am now in the stages of writing my first feature-length film, with a potential to shooting it next year.
To help pay the bills while I was writing screenplays (and some boxing articles for local papers) I took on a few other acting jobs – utilising my 30 years in kickboxing to stay in shape and to handle any fight scenes – and those jobs led to me being approached for work as a commercial model.
In November 2016 I won a national search for an underwear model on ITV’s Lorraine show, leading to representation in London and Berlin.
Now, when I am not on a shoot, I share my time between punishing myself on the punch-bag, cooking up a storm at my stove, or beating out a script at my desk… Rumoured sightings at the local boozer have been neither confirmed nor denied.
My new weekly blog, MAKE THAT CHANGE, will focus primarily on the experience of changing careers (be it my own, or my guest’s), but I’ll also be talking more widely around lifestyle choices.
Feedback, welcomed… banter, expected… backchat, invited….
Please enjoy responsibly, folks.
