After having spent the last two decades drifting (not quite drowning but certainly not sailing) through a career as a Business Consultant, I have recently abandoned ship for my first and truest love… story.
A couple of years ago, a local arts centre hosted a contest to find and produce a short film. So I grafted out a script over coffees at dawn and whiskies at midnight… and I was lucky enough to be selected as the winner.
Since this has now been produced and shown at various film festivals, I am keen to build a portfolio of credits.
I have recently written another short film, an hour long TV show and my first feature-film – a trailer for which I had produced last year.
Having also appeared in my short, I began writing material that resonated with me both as a writer and an actor, with an aim to appearing in all future productions. And since having done so, I feel that both disciplines have been elevated somewhat – and that I have finally found my direction.
In short, I’m a bloke who writes about bloke stuff.
Thriller, drama, comedy, even romance, all from the modern man’s perspective as he navigates through the minefields of family, society, work and love.
I like to think my scripts have enough brains and enough balls to entertain today’s audience… on both sides of the gender gap.
Outside of screenplays and novels, I also take on various journalistic & promotional work, such as boxing features, marketing campaigns and reviews of restaurants, events and entertainment.
